Expanse Guide

This guide will walk you through the most important things you need to know to get started as a player on the server. The guide starts from your perspective – from the place you start when you first log in to the server.

The first room you come to is the Tutorial Room. Here you can read the welcome book, a summary of our rules and the most important things you need to know to play on the server. To the right, your first quest is displayed “Complete Tutorial”. You must read the books to complete this quest and when you do, you will receive a starter kit, money and an emerald.

The guard who is in the right corner, you can now right-click to get to / spawn.

A bit further on, there is a book that explains how you can create your first world, either by using the Expanse book or / expanse.

Creating a world

When creating your world, there are two things to keep in mind. The first is what it should be called and the second is whether you want to choose a biome or not. To select a biome, you must click the scroll button to create your world. You will get to name your world by typing an appropriate name in the chat. To cancel the naming, you can type “Cancel” in the chat.

Once you have done this, you will be taken to your created world. You can only create a new world once a month.

Managing the world

All management of your world takes place in the Expanse menu, which you access with the book or with / expanse. As an owner or member of a world, you can change the world's settings and build in it. Players you have trusted “Manage Players”-the menu can only build and destroy in your world. Everyone else counts as guests and can not ruin anything. You choose how you want to play in your world and what rules you and your members must follow. However, these rules must not be violated Mineworld's rules.

To expand the world

Expansion also takes place in the menu. To expand a world, different resources are needed.

  • Money
  • Material
  • Special emeralds

You get money by, for example, selling items to other players or to NPCs in / spawn. You get special emeralds by completing different / quests.
In / emerald, you can replace a number of worse emeralds with a better one.

The cost increases the bigger your world gets. The world can also expand 1 block automatically sometimes if this setting is turned on.

Resets

You choose when you want to reset your world. As the owner when you choose “Abandon world” then the world is completely removed. As a member, you can choose to leave the world whenever you want. Nether and The End can be reset separately. This can be done once every fortnight. This is also done via the menu.

Save the world

In normal cases, your world is automatically saved when you play and when all members have logged out. But there is also a manual button for this in the menu. If you want to be absolutely sure that it has been saved correctly, use this. You can also make a backup of your world that our administrators can restore if the accident has occurred.

The spawn area

In spawn you can sell items to NPCs and do other activities that give you items and money. The spawn area is expanded by the players' global achievements. When you make money, the tax goes to expand the spawn world and when you sell items, a certain number of these also go to expand the spawn world. It is possible to apply for a permit to build in the spawn world.

Among other things, you can:

  • Sell and buy items from NPCs
  • Find ores that respawn
  • Farm crops
  • Pair animals to get an egg you can take with you
